The Jet Car is exactly what it sounds like, and it still surprises people: a car-shaped amphibious craft that drives out across the water off JBR Beach. Very few of these machines exist anywhere, which is why it draws a crowd along the shoreline every time it launches. You ride with a trained captain at the controls, so there is nothing to learn and nothing to operate - your job is to hold on while it accelerates away from the beach, carves turns and throws up spray along the Dubai Marina waterfront. A life jacket is provided and worn throughout.
