Dubai Global Village Entry Ticket

Global Village is Dubai's seasonal culture and shopping park, and at this price it is one of the best-value evenings in the city. The site is arranged as a set of national pavilions, each fronted by a scaled replica of a landmark from the country it represents - the Taj Mahal, an Egyptian temple gate, a Venetian facade - and each selling that country's goods: rugs, spices, lanterns, textiles, sweets, jewellery. It is genuine trading rather than souvenir stalls, and bargaining is expected. Around the pavilions sit a fairground with rides, a stunt and concert arena with a nightly programme, street performers, and a long line of food stands running from Turkish and Yemeni to Filipino and Afghan. Fireworks are staged on set nights. Allow at least four hours; most people stay longer. Global Village is open only through the cooler season, usually late October to spring, so check operating dates. Evenings are considerably busier than the opening hour.
