ARTE Museum Dubai is an immersive media-art space built around the theme of Eternal Nature - a sequence of large, dark rooms where floor-to-ceiling projection, mirrored walls and spatial sound turn each gallery into a landscape you stand inside. Waterfalls run down real walls, forests grow and fall through the seasons, and waves break around your feet, with several of the works drawing directly on Dubai's own desert and coastal scenery. What separates it from a straightforward projection show is that it is designed for more than the eye: each room carries its own custom soundscape and its own scent, so the transitions register physically as you walk between them. The ARTE Tea Bar at the end serves a curated menu in the same setting. Allow around ninety minutes to see everything without hurrying. The venue is indoors and air-conditioned, and it photographs exceptionally well - bring a camera and expect to use it.
