The Unfinished Obelisk was discovered in the early twentieth century after it had been covered by sand for thousands of years. It remains as you see it today in one of the Aswan quarries, famous for its supply of hard and high-quality stone. Believed to have been commissioned by Hatshepsut (c. 1473–1458 BC) for the temple of Amun in Karnak, work was abandoned because of flaws in the stone and the presence of multiple fissures. Had it been finished, it would have weighed 1168 tons and stood at a height of around 42 meters, taller than any other ancient Egyptian obelisk.

Around 5 a.m., it is time to visit one of the most important sites in Egypt, the Abu Simbel Temples. After the great tour, it's back to the cruise, which will start to sail. Komombo temple. standing on high ground overlooking the Nile. It differs from other temples because of its double entrance; each one is dedicated to divinity: "Haroeris" with his falcon head and "Sobek" with his crocodile head. The Temple of Kom Ombo was built in honor of two deities: the crocodile-headed Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris, or the ancient falcon-headed Horus. Also, Kom Ombo's importance lies in its huge sugar cane. After the visit back to the Nile Cruise, Dinner on board, then enjoy the Galabya Party. Continue sailing to Edfu and overnight.
